The Objective
Greenlight® is the debit card for kids that parents manage from their phones, using flexible parental controls. I assessed, redesigned, and re-architect the mobile application. After collaborating and forming strong relationships with the original design and engineering team, I lead a refactor of the application and polished the original design. Also implemented strategy to solve for roadmap items that were a year or more out in the new architecture. As well as solve for a iteration on how to add money to the card.
How do I add money to my kids card? What is a greenlight? How do I add more money is a store?
Users were really struggling around anything to do with adding money. Whether that was adding money to the parent's wallet, a "greenlight" aka setting store budget, just to the kids card for spending anywhere, etc. We needed to work on how the money was being added, how we communicated with the user through the entire process, and make things easier to find to add to.
